TIRANA, Oct 23 /ATA/ – The SP MP Mimi Kodheli has joined the voices that postponement of opening the accession talks with Albania and North Macedonia came as a result of problems the EU is grappling with, France in particular which has an array of issues at home.
“The issue is that the French themselves have no idea what Europe stands for. Somewhere local elections will take place in a near future, others have problems with popularity in their countries. However a heavyweight country as is Germany has taken a different stand. There are concurrent issues the European family is dealing with such as Brexit, the stands of our regional neighbors, etc,” Kodheli said in a televised interview.
Despite the dynamics, Albania should not be pessimistic, instead it should move ahead with its commitments and reforms.
