TIRANA, October 9 /ATA/ 560 students have enrolled and will be accommodated in modern small apartments in the student complex of the Student Town No. 2.
The German government, through KfW (German Development Bank), rehabilitated on the basis of the energy efficiency principle the Student Town dormitory No.2.
The Albanian Telegraphic Agency journalist saw from very close the interior and exterior of this student complex.
The administration employees told ATA that building A has 55 mini-apartments while building B has 48 mini-apartments.
On each floor of the five-story building, there is also a room for the disabled.
“If compared with the buildings where we have been staying, I say, there is 1000 percent change. We were not able to use showers at different times. Now, we have a shower in the apartment and it’s easier, the conditions are very good, ”said a student of the faculty of sports.
Besides the social worker, there is recently introduced even the new psychologist service.
The project to improve the living conditions of the students living in these dormitories aimed to renovate the premises through an improved heating system as well as the internal structure of the buildings, thus providing better and more comfortable conditions for the students.
In December 2018, the government signed an agreement with Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on financial cooperation 2017 for the project “Dormitory renovation program at Tirana University campus according to the energy efficiency principle, phase III”.
In total, there are 4 buildings set to undergo reconstruction. In two of them, the reconstruction works are over while in the rest of them the works are expected to start soon./p.s./
