TIRANA, October 2/ATA/- The Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Gramoz Ruçi, received Wednesday in a meeting the Honorary President of the German Parliamentary Society, Dr. Elke Leonhard, who is holding an official visit to Albania.
In attendance at the meeting were also, the Chairman of the SP parliamentary group, as well as the Chairman of the Parliamentary Friendship Group between the German Bundestag and Albania, Taulant Balla.
During the meeting, the Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Ruçi underlined that Germany is one of the largest, the most respected and loyal partners of Albanian in its efforts to consolidate democracy and integrate into the European family.
In his speech, Ruçi emphasized that, the visit of the delegation from the Parliament of the Republic of Albania to the German Bundestag and the meeting with the country’s President Wolfgang Schauble in February this year, gave fresh impetus to the cooperation between the two parliaments.
For her part, Honorary President of the German Parliamentary Society, Dr. Elke Leonhard highly assessed the inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries and expressed confidence that the exchange of visits and experiences between the two parliaments will contribute to the strengthening of relations and building mutual trust between the two peoples.//a.i/
