TIRANA, October 2/ATA/- The head of the ruling Socialist Party group in the Albanian Parliament Taulant Balla was today a guest to a television studio where he spoke about Albania’s EU integration and the political situation in the country.
Speaking about the electoral reform, Balla insisted that, “The reform should be all-embracing and Albania should have a new Electoral Code by 2021 general elections.”
In regard to the opposition demands, Balla said that the Democratic Party (DP) cannot impose conditions. “I have to reiterate the crystal clear stance that the DP or its allies cannot impose conditions on the Socialist Party because the PD is not in a position to do so while in every democratic country the rules of the game are binding on everyone,” said Balla.
On the other hand, he emphasized that the work of the majority until the next elections will be intense./a.g/p.s./
