TIRANA, September 30/ATA/-Albania’s Minister of Finance and Economy Anila Denaj attended today the conference on “Developing the Internal Control System”.
The purpose of this conference was to increase transparency, improve managerial skills and strengthen structures for internal control of public finances.
Following the conference, the minister answered to question of journalists on the damage caused by the September 21 earthquake, which caused extensive damage to many residential structures.
“This current week we shall have a preliminary draft and we shall take a decision on using the funds. The Civil Emergency Fund does not cover damage up to this extent. It is a fund of 130 million ALL, but of course with normative acts we will spend additional fund if necessary. Likewise, we are considering contributions as an expression of solidarity by the business,” said Denaj to reporters.
According to Minister of Finance and Economy, there is not yet an accurate amount of the damages caused by the earthquake because the verifications on the ground have not been completed./p.s./
