TIRANA, Sept 28 /ATA/- Maritime transport in 2019 has seen significant growth compared to the previous years.
Data from the National Institute of Statistics, INSTAT, show that the number of ferry passengers in the first eight months of 2019 totalled 1.6 million, up by 3% compared to the same period of the previous year.
With about 440 km of coastline, maritime transport and ports are the key sectors not only for the development of the transport system, but also for Albania’s economic development, and tourism industry in particular.
