TIRANA, September 26/ATA/-The lawmaker of the ruling Socialist Party Mirela Kumbaro said during an interview on television last evening that the decision on Albania opening the EU accession negotiations is due to be taken on October 18.
She highlighted the good news of German MPs giving OK to opening of the EU accession negotiations as well as the two conditions attached.
“The most important thing is that the negotiation process begins as soon as possible”, said Kumbaro adding that “Negotiation means to have the opportunity to make compromise, to offer Albanians development, stability. This is solved through the ruling majority and the opposition sitting at the table of talks on the new Electoral Code.”
But, she emphasized that Albania will hold general elections as scheduled in 2021./j.p/p.s./
