TIRANA, Sept 13 /ATA/ –By I. Vata/ – The electoral reform was the highlight of a meeting between the chairwoman of the opposition’s parliamentary group Rudina Hajdari and the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Albania, Ambassador Luigi Soreca, on Friday.
“Today I had the pleasure to meet EU Ambassador to Albania Luigi Soreca to discuss importance of the electoral reform in the coming months, as well as opening the EU accession negotiations with Albania in October,” Hajdari said.
Lawmaker Hajdari asked for Soreca’s support for a new electoral system.
“I thanked EU Ambassador Soreca for his support for the Electoral Reform and voiced the need for a new, more inclusive and democratic electoral system,” she said.
