TIRANA, September 12/ATA/- The municipality of Selenica is making a large investment in water supply system to ensure an immediate solution for uninterrupted drinking water supply to residents Selenica and Kota, as well as for the implementation of projects in 4 more areas.
This has been the focus of the discussion during the today’s meeting between the new Mayor of Selenica, Pëllumb Binaj and the Director General of the National Agency for Water Supply, Sanitation and Waste Infrastructure, Alqi Bllako.
“The poor efficiency model of central government funded investment and implemented by the local government in the last 10 years is a story that is finally coming to an end. The local governments and the Water and Sanitation Agencies must be aware of investment mismanagement, as the central government may decide to withdraw its support for investment in water supply system, a vital sector for citizens,” Bllako stressed.//a.i/
