TIRANA, Sept 12 /ATA/ –By I. Vata/ – The Deputy Prime Minister Erion Braçe said Thursday that an ongoing anti-informality crackdown is yielding its initial positive results in the efforts to put an end to fiscal evasion and informal economy.
“The sales declarations in August recorded a two-digit growth, just like it is the case with the sales declarations by the wholesale and retail fuel market registering an increase by 40-45%,” the Deputy PM Erion Braçe said on a TV interview, adding that a new monitoring system will be installed in every filling station across the country.
“Unfortunately, the illicit transactions in the market have been very high. Unfortunately, this is an unlawfulness situation created by both economic operators and corrupt elements within the fiscal administration, either in the customs or the tax administration,” Braçe said.
The Deputy PM noted that the anti-informality operation is currently focused on big markets and companies.
