TIRANA, September 9/ATA/- More than 4,000 patients have benefited free of charge heart surgery since January of the current year, in public and non-public hospitals, funded by the state.
Minister of Health and Social Protection Ogerta Manastirliu gave the news saying that:
“Advanced heart interventions are a tangible reality today not only in Tirana, but also at regional hospitals. The Hemodynamics Service at Fier Hospital has provided the southern region with a solution for citizens who need to perform coronarography and receive close-to-quality, timely service without having to come to Tirana. Since January 2019, 4027 patients have undergone coronarography ”.
The four centers where this service is offered are the University Health Center in Tirana, “Shefqet Ndroqi” Hospital, Tirana, Fier and Shkodra Hospital.
One patient who performed this intervention said he was delighted that Fieri hospital covers the southern area.
One doctor said that, “The hemodynamics room at Fier hospital met all the requirements to perform coronarography, a modern Angiograph has been installed.”/k.s/ /a.g/p.s./
