TIRANA, September 6 /ATA/- When the works will get finished, the new “Vlora River” road will reveal a natural treasure in the eyes of Albanians and foreign tourists.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today in the social media live footage of the movement on this new, long-awaited road.
“The new (and long-awaited) “Vlora River” road live. What natural treasure will be discovered in the eyes of Albanians and foreign tourists in this unexplored valley, when the road ends and goes down into the Ionian coast,” said PM Rama.
The “Vlora River” road connects more than 60 villages in the area, with a population of more than 40,000 inhabitants, with the city of Vlora.
The feasibility study has highlighted that this route will generate a number of social and economic benefits including; access to regional and local markets for farmers, reducing unemployment and increasing incomes for the local population by intensifying existing economic activities, as well as promoting the development of sporting activities such as trekking and biking, which will eventually bring about transformation of the whole valley into a tourist attraction.
On the “Vlora River” road, the works are currently underway on LOT II, namely Gjormi-Brataj Bridge- Lasko Bridge./m.m/ /a.g/p.s./
