Spiropali: Majority open to unconditional dialogue with opposition

TIRANA, Sept 3 /ATA/By A. Fortuzi/- Minister of State for Relations with Parliament, Elisa Spiropali, stated that the new season of politics will focus on two important developments, electoral reform and EU accession.

According to Spiropali, the SP is open to dialogue with opposition inside and outside parliament with view to delivering on all OSCE/ODHIR recommendations in the light of electoral reform.

Minster Spiropali, in a televised interview, stated that the opposition in parliament has been more productive than the one outside. It’s worth mentioning the fact that it has participated in discussion and vote of major issues, as are the laws necessary for justice reform, gaining credits for itself despite the mockery of out of parliament one,” Spiropali said.

Ahead of us lies electoral reform which will be the highlight of parliamentary discussion. It is our aim to pass a reform that is agreed upon by opposition and deliver on the OSCE/ODHIR findings in the electoral reform committee which is co-chaired by the opposition representative, Hajdari,” according to Spiropali.

Concerning June 30 elections, according to Spiropali, it was a test where opposition suffered disgraceful defeat.

We are willing to abide by all recommendations of OSCE/ODHIR. We are willing to depoliticize the entire process of elections’ administration. However the out of parliament opposition has refused any discussion on senseless grounds.

The national aspiration for EU accession belongs to Albania rather than majority and opposition. For the sake of it, we are ready to engage in an unconditional dialogue with opposition.
