TIRANA, Aug 31 /ATA/Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, has served lunch to the elderly frequenting Kamza’s multipurpose centre.
Minister has brought to attention the case of mother Dashamire, a lone household without support.
She comes to the local day centre in Kamëz where besides a hot meal, she meets her peers and converses with them but also engages in activities. Like Dashamirja, around 30 elderly in difficulty receive services on a daily basis.
According to the minister, through Social Fund the municipalities have more opportunities to establish social centers for people in need where such services do not exist or expand them in municipalities providing services for children, women, persons with special needs and elderly in need.
