TIRANA, Aug 30 /ATA/ – The process of obtaining a health card in Albania is completely digitalized enabling its receipt within a very short time.
This is what the World Bank is quoted as saying in its report. “So the time to get a pension card today is 45 days compared to 53 days in 2016, while the time to register a motor vehicle is only 1 day from 5.3 days in 2016 .”
According to World Bank, during this period 68 other services for citizens have been automated.
“These improvements point to satisfactory progress of the Citizens Service Project undertaken by Albanian government and supported by World Bank. The project is helping to improve the efficiency of service delivery and access to them by increasing the number of administrative services through their online acquisition, setting up service centers for citizens and facilitating service delivery processes,” the World Bank said.
It says that a survey conducted in December 2018 shows tangible improvement in delivery of services especially to women, the poor and Roma people. The feedback on quality of services are very positive among the citizens that have received them in the last 6 months.
