TIRANA, Aug 30 /ATA/ – The Japanese government will launch a grant program in support of the city of Durres. Japanese business will be lured into investing in Durres, for which concrete steps will be taken.
The mayor of Durrës, Valbona Sako, held a meeting with Japanese ambassador to our country, Makoto Ito.
Japanese ambassador Ito, having congratulated the mayor Sako upon her election, touched on an array of topics as part of cooperation between the two countries.
“Durrës is an important city which I visited very often. I have always promoted Durres inviting Japanese tourists to visit your city. For sure we will establish a fruitful cooperation as is the grant programme of Japanese govt. with view to encouraging Japanese business to invest in Durres and I believe concrete steps will be taken towards this goal.”
