TIRANA, Aug 22 /ATA/- Durres port has seen these days a massive flow of fellow countrymen who have spent their vacations in our country, Kosovo and Macedonia depart for Italian ports.
According to daily operational data provided by Port Authority of Durres, in the period of 16-19 August the ferries departing for the ports of Bari, Ancona and Trieste were used by 25,686 domestic and foreign passengers with about 6 thousand cars in total. Meanwhile, in Durres in the same period some 11 thousand passengers with 2,541 cars have arrived by ferry.
Seven ferries are sailing from Durres to Italy and vice versa, and on given days they are also operating two voyages in 24 hours. The flow of travelers to Italy is expected to continue until mid-September.
Operational data of DPA show that during August 1–19 the ferries from/to Durres were taken by 175,715 passengers with 42,310 vehicles in total./k.s/j.p/sm/
