Detailed action plan on deeper cooperation with Denmark expected in autumn

TIRANA, Aug 22 /ATA/ – A detailed action plan to forge closer cooperation between legislative bodies of Albania and Denmark is expected in the autumn after further discussions between the Albanian and Danish parliament officials.

The plan was announced during an exchange workshop held earlier this week in Copenhagen with the participation of senior officials from the parliamentary services of the Danish and Albanian Parliaments.

The workshop focused on human resource development issues and exchange of best practices in this field and the event marked the start of a renewed effort to promote closer bilateral co-operation between the two Parliaments.

The OSCE Presence in Tirana announced that to this end, a more detailed action plan to guide the co-operation effort is expected in the autumn after further discussions between the Albanian and Danish parliament officials.

The visit of Albanian senior parliament officials to Denmark and the exchange workshop were supported by the OSCE Presence in Albania and were held as part of the project Support to Parliament and Civic Education in Albania, implemented by the Presence with Swiss funding.
