Klosi: 16% more tourists than in August 2018

TIRANA, August 21/ATA/- About 16% more tourists have entered Albania in August this year if compared with the same period of 2018, said Minister Klosi today while waiting for tourists in the port of Saranda.

This indicator implies the growing numbers of tourists choosing Albania’s beaches to spend the summer holidays, the newest tourist destination in Europe and about which the international media has spoken over the past two years.

“Together with the mayor of Saranda, we are working on marine tourism, but also on new alternative opportunities, such as historical, cultural tourism in various cultural heritage sites, nature tourism and adventure tourism so that to exploit all the beauties and assets that Albania has”, said Minister Klosi.

On his part, Mayor Adrian Gurma emphasized that the municipality of Saranda is committed to improving tourism in the seaside city, improving the quality and offer of the ongoing tourist package.

“Nature has generously provided us with the sea and the sun, and we have to add only love,” said Mayor Saranda./k.s/j.p/p.s./
