Eid ala Adha prayers, believers perform morning prayers in Scanderbeg square

TIRANA, Aug 11 /ATA/- With messages of peace and harmony for one another and prayers for more prosperity, Muslim believers performed this morning the Eid al Adha prayers at Skanderbeg Square.

The head of Albanian Muslim Community, Bujar Spahiu, said that the symbolism of this day is the sacrifice, as a token of gratitude to God.

Allah cares about our piety. Neither flesh nor blood of the Qur’an reaches Allah, but obedience to it. Eid al-Adha is the day when we heal the wounds we have caused to one another. To see all people through the eyes of love. Allah cares about our piety. The testimony of sacrifice makes us thankful to God.

This encourages us to be always committed and make sacrifices for religion and homeland. The sacrifice means bringing a person closer to the creator. People should not give up hope on Allah, “he said among other things.
