TIRANA, August 2/ATA/-Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Matthew Palmer Palmer stated today that “Kosovo’s current challenge is to form a government that would return the country to dialogue with Serbia and suspend the tariff on Serbian goods.”
In an interview for the “Voice of America”, Palmer emphasized that defining the negotiation parameters is the responsibility of the parties and that focusing only on maps and territories would divert attention from the importance of reaching a comprehensive agreement on the full normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
“We want Kosovo to begin efforts to form a government as soon as possible. We would like that further on the government returns to dialogue as soon as possible, including suspension of tariffs on goods from Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. We hope this starts soon,” said Palmer./k.s/p.s./
