TIRANA, August 2/ATA/-The lawmaker of the ruling Socialist Party Ervin Bushati stated today that October 13, the date President Ilir Meta decreed as Local, General and Presidential Elections, has no value at all.
Speaking during an interview on television, Lawmaker Bushati said that, “There is not any political crisis in Albania, but only a crisis of the opposition”.
While the president is doing the opposition cancelling June 30 local elections in an illegitimate way, said Bushati.
He added that, “It cannot happen we enter a vicious cycle and hold elections every year or every month”.
Speaking about June 30 local elections, Bushati said that, “The opposition made a mistake with its decision to boycott the elections because we are not enemies, but rivals”.
“The constitution of all the municipal councils will be completed up to the end of August and the mayors will begin their work”, said Bushati.
In regard with the Justice Reform, Bushati said that there will be people, not necessarily from the opposition, who will be punished. The justice organs are becoming functional. The Constitutional Court is due to begin functioning within September and the same can happen with Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime and National Bureau of Investigation”, said Bushati./k.s/p.s./
