TIRANA, Aug 1 /ATA/- In the light of operational plan against informality, tax administration director Delina Ibrahimaj said that the fuel stations will be banned from using manual pumps. They should interrupt their sale and inform tax administration on cases when cash register does not work.
During a press conference, Ibrahimaj emphasized that many fuel stations have made interventions switching from automatic to manual mode.
Ibrahimaj said that with regard to fiscal fuel systems, following the findings of the Tax Investigation, which led to arrest of two people, as of today by Order of the Minister of Finance and Economy, the General Directorate of Taxation (GDT) and General Directorate of Metrology (GDM) will carry out joint raids on entities trading in hydrocarbons in order to verify their compliance with the legal obligations and to certify the regime, which should be automatic.
“The law does not allow fuel stations to sell in manual mode, if they have problems with the pump they have to stop selling and report to tax office or cash register companies. Over recent months many fuel stations were found to have interfered in pumps switching from auto to manual mode. The goal is to certify automatic mode. Those using manual mode will be closed. If they use automatic mode, they will be certified, ”said Ibrahimaj.
