Absence of opposition asks for greater commitments

TIRANA, July 30/ATA/ “The absence of the main opposition in this assembly of the capital makes the burden of commitment, evaluation and decision-making even greater than usual”, stated today Prime Minister Edi Rama during the event on constitution of the municipal council of Tirana.

PM Rama congratulated the new municipal council reminding the extraordinary responsibility of the new members.

PM Rama reminded that the past municipal council used to be a hostage of political conflict and has been blocked several times as a result of political orders extended from outside the hall.

“This has not been helpful”, said PM Rama adding that, “it would not be helpful either even if the debate was eliminated”.

The prime minister emphasized the need of working not just for one side, but all the sides without distinction./p.s./
