TIRANA, July 25/ATA/- The Chairman of the Democratic Party leader Lulzim Basha appeared before the Prosecution Office to testify about the issue of “Toyota Yaris.”
The Serious Crimes Prosecution Office officially announced that Belgian prosecutors have arrived in Tirana, to assist in investigative interviewing of the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Basha.
“Following the execution of the order letter sent by the Belgian authorities, the representatives of the Belgian Federal Prosecutor’s Office have arrived in Albania to continue the procedural actions required and permitted by the Albanian judicial authorities. These actions consist in interrogation of defendants as well as interrogation of citizen Lulzim Basha, “the prosecution said.
This case relates to the seizure of 3.4 million euros in the Port of Durrës several months ago. The case is being investigated by Belgian authorities, who have demanded the testimony of the oppositions’ leader Lulzim Basha.//a.i/
