TIRANA, July 22 /ATA/ –By I. Vata/ – Deputy Prime Minister Erjon Braçe stated Monday that the next general elections will be held as scheduled in 2021, adding that early elections would set a dangerous precedent as Albania would suffer instability.
The Deputy PM said that a meeting of the governing Socialist Party’s assembly slated for tomorrow was a natural action taking place after an electoral process to take stock of accomplishments and identify shortcomings and deficiencies in achieving the targets.
“As stipulated by the Constitution, the next general elections will take place in 2021. As long as the ruling majority is functional in the parliament and hopefully soon in the local government, the next elections will be held in 2021,” Braçe stated.
