TIRANA, July 16 /ATA/- Justice reform will continue to be high on political agenda in our country. Minister of Justice Etilda Gjonaj hosted on Tuesday 15 representatives of the Centre for International Legal Cooperation (CILC), who were briefed on the progress of justice reform as well as the challenges facing Albania during this period.
The members of the Dutch-based organization, part of the consortium of organizations implementing EURALIUS project in Albania, took interest in the public perception about implementation of reform as well as the role of Ministry of Justice in explaining to the public the stages of implementation or the time needed to achieve the expected results.
In the conversation with the Dutch delegation, Gjonaj said that reform is about a deep, historic and irreversible change in the best interest of younger generations. It is not meant for Albanian citizens alone, as this one of a kind process is an example for other aspiring countries to follow. Recognition of results and our political will to launch in-depth state-building reforms is a great motivation for us to go ahead on the path to EU.
The participants praised the role of the Ministry of Justice in the process of Albania’s EU integration as well as the advancement of justice reform.
