Basha: June 30, referendum to reject evilness

TIRANA, July 8 /ATA/ –By I. Vata/ – Democratic Party leader Lulzim Basha on Monday described the June 30 local elections in Albania as “a popular referendum to reject evilness, a wonderful demonstration of freedom, Europeanism and citizenship of the Albanians.”

“The June 30 was a referendum to reject evilness, a wonderful demonstration of freedom, Europeanism and citizenship of the Albanians. June 30 was the day of national courage, when Albanians showed they have the strength to fight evil,” DP leader stated as he addressed a fresh opposition protest in front of the Prime Minister’s office in Tirana.

According to Basha, “June 30 was the day when Albanians showed they oppose Edi Rama’s regime. Thousands of protesters in front of the government building are the triumph of hope and courage over fear, the people’s triumph over the bad government.”

“Edi Rama declared candidacy himself, he counted the ballots on his own and yet he stole votes again, but he couldn’t hide his abandonment and his refusal by the people,” Basha stated.

According to him, 85% of the Albanian citizens rejected his regime, crime, corruption, poverty and lack of hope.
