TIRANA, July 4/ATA/- The Socialist Party MP Eglantina Gjermeni expressed today her confidence that the government is on the right way of preserving the landscape, natural, historical and cultural assets and sustainable development of all the territory.
Speaking at the Parliament session on some amendments to the draft law “On territorial planning and development”, Gjermeni emphasized that, “territorial planning has become a subject not only for public institutions such as municipalities, but also citizens and enterprises”.
“It is important to support, further encourage all that has been done and is being done in this area, especially the mayors, those who got reconfirmed in office and those who took this office for the first time on June 30th so that to take the next steps to improve guiding documents on territory planning, and to achieve sustainable economic development in every municipality. Year 2019 is the sixth year of a work in the area of territorial planning during which further legislation is being improved and national and regional plans are in the process of promoting the sustainable development of the territory “, underlined Gjermeni./k.s/ /a.g/p.s./
