TIRANA, June 30 /ATA/ – Minister of Justice, Etilda Gjonaj, has voted on Sunday in Tirana. After casting her ballot, she said these are not merely local elections, they are an important decision in the hands of citizens who should decide between the alternative of undermining the institutions or freeing them to move ahead. We should make up for lost time and hurry up to achieve our aspirations.
“It is necessary to convey through the civil vote the message of agreement that we are ready to strengthen democratic institutions, enforce law and reconstruct the new house of justice which is being transformed by the power of reforms,” Gjonaj said.
She added that she was satisfied that the General Penitentiary Directorate and other institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Justice are on standby to guarantee an orderly and democratic process in the spaces under administration of Justice Ministry.
