TIRANA, June 28/ATA/-For the first time, an Albanian institution in the field of accounting has been positively assessed by the international institutions and has been invited to join the international financial instances.
Thus, Albania’s Public Supervisory Board has joined with full rights the Task Force of the International Forum of Independent Audit Regulators (IFIAR). This followed the World Bank evaluation in the EU Progress Report.
Members of the Task Force are Abu Dhabi, Albania, Canada, France, Italy, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom and United States of America. They have all the support of the IFIAR Board.
The main objectives of this Task Force relate to monitoring important developments within the jurisdictions of IFIAR member states to analyze the impact of these developments on the audit market and their potential impact on audit quality.
Albania’s Public Supervisory Board joining the IFIAR implies it has a capacity to carry out its functions not only domestically but also abroad. /e.xh/j.p/p.s./
