TIRANA, June 26 /ATA/-The Chairman of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha said on Wednesday evening during a press statement at the party headquarters that the opposition has a clear-cut stance on June 30 elections: these are not legitimate or practical elections.
“We have made our stance crystal clear to all the international community, especially to the partners that are helping to solve the political crisis. I have told them the truth that the vote is an anti-Constitutional farce, not legitimate and criminalized and it will aggravate the crisis and plunge Albania into a phase of high cost for the country”, said Basha.
Likewise, Basha highlighted the Council of Europe withdrawing, according to him, from monitoring of June 30 elections.
“The reason is that there is no competition without participation of the opposition. These elections have no political significance”, said Basha.
“On Sunday, there will be no elections in Albania. There will be a farce instead. We shall do the utmost so that this adventure is stopped and the farce doesn’t go ahead”, said Basha. /j.p/p.s./
