TIRANA, June 13 /ATA/- Unfortunately, President of the Republic has manifested a different reading of the Constitution and understanding of his role in our constitutional and democratic system.
This is what Minister of Interior, Sandër Lleshaj, said in his address to the plenary session dedicated to the draft resolution on abrogation of elections’ date decreed by President Meta/
“I find completely senseless the reasoning that whatever authority can cancel through repeal the acts issued by them. “
“In the face of such a serious risk as claimed by President, in his capacity as chairman of National Security Council Meta should have convened the National Security Council to analyze the situation of security in the country. However he has perceived the danger in a subjective way, and has unilaterally responded in defiance of the role of National Security Council or other relevant institutions in the country,” Lleshaj said.
