TIRANA, June 12 /ATA/ – The candidate seeking re-election as the Alliance for European Albania’s nominee for the office of Tirana mayor, Erion Veliaj said in his remarks at the 28th anniversary of the Socialist Party on Wednesday that the Albanian citizens can clearly distinguish among those who build the state, and those whose philosophy focuses on violence.
Veliaj said history has shown that Socialist Party is the political force that has brought progress to the country and it doesn’t represent violence.
“This our party, my dear young friends, has gone through a moment when its leader was imprisoned just two years following its foundation. And the Socialist leader was imprisoned precisely by him who is doing a lot of damages to the country today,” Veliaj said.
Veliaj emphasized that SP has shown it never runs away from battle and has always emerged victorious.
