TIRANA, June 11 /ATA/- The European Council should respect it promise and start with no further delay the accession talks with Albania and North Macedonia.
Deputy Head of Social & Democrat Group in EP, Tanja Fajon, stated on Tuesday during a meeting held in Brussels hosted by euro deputy Knut Fleckensten: “Albania’s European future”, I had an honor to pass on the message of our Group leader Udo Bullmann. The S&D Group will remain the main advocate in the EP for supporting the EU perspective of the Western Balkan countries.”
“We call on the EU Council to respect its promise and start the talks with no further delay. The people of the Western Balkans need a clear sign that the Union is on their side,” Fajon said.
