Basha: No elections on June 30

TIRANA, June 10 /ATA/- The DP head, Lulzim Basha, at a news conference from blue headquarters, said that PM of the country Edi Rama will neither hold elections on June 30 nor will dismiss President Meta.

“There will be neither local elections, nor dismissal of President of the Republic. PM is trying to bombard public opinion with two oaths he cannot keep for he is not interested in keeping them. He swears that he will hold elections and dismiss the President, which are nothing but two bluffs,” Basha said.
The DP head added that he cannot judge the decision of President adding that he fully supports it.

Politically one-party elections are not elections. The constitutional and responsible decision of President serves the people and public interest. Beyond any individual opinion, there is only one institution that could have its say on the current situation, the Constitutional Court which is inexistent for the time being, he said.
