TIRANA, June 7 /ATA/-By Maela Marini/ – Pressing ahead with major reforms and the country’s economic development is our greatest challenge, Prime Minister Edi Rama stated at a campaign meeting for the June 30 mayoral elections in the town of Kuçova on Friday, saying that the centre-right opposition has sunk the country into debts.
“In 30 years, history has shown that they have destroyed the country and sunk it into debts, whereas we have worked to grow the country’s economy, which is also our greatest challenge,” the government head said.
Socialist leader said that “whenever they have seized power, they have ruined, destroyed everything and have opened or deepened wounds, sinking the country into huge debts and tragic situations,” Rama said, adding that the Socialist Party has always worked to fix everything.
“Albania has a lot of things to fix today but it is not that of five years ago. We can openly state that we have done a lot and we are aware that a lot more remain to be done,” he concluded.
