TIRANA, May 30/ATA/ – Albania’s Defender Mërgim Mavraj said today that the national team has undergone important changes and in the upcoming matches it will be seen if they are positive.
Speaking at a press conference today, Mavraj said, “There are significant changes. I need some time to analyze these changes and still cannot give a thought, how it has changed for good or bad.”
In answer to question on Coach Edoardo Reja, Mavraj said, “He looks sympathetic, calm. He’s like a father. He is smiling and polite. I cannot appreciate him from the tactical viewpoint.”
Further on Mavraj said, “Things went bad for Albania at the League of Nations. We were not at all happy with our play. If we improve, the results will come. There have been many changes recently. We need to get closer to each other. The score is worth in football, we did not have it, but we have the qualities. It’s the right time to leave the past behind. We will have a real chance. ”
In regard to the challenge with Iceland, Mavraj said, “Even in the time of Cana, we had a homogeneous team, strong, 11 fighters. The playing as a team implies the responsibility to help one another. Each successful team has 11 leaders, not just 1 “./gj.m/j.p/p.s./
