TIRANA, May 27 ATA/ – The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received Monday in a meeting a delegation from the U.S. Senate and the Atlantic Council in Washington DC headed by Damon Wilson.
During the meeting, President of Kosovo, Thaçi thanked the Vice President, Wilson for the continued contribution and support of the Atlantic Council aimed at strengthening the Kosovo security structures.
“20 years since NATO intervention against Serbia, the people and the state of Kosovo are eternally grateful for the decisive role of the United States in the freedom and independence of Kosovo,” Thaçi stated.
The main focus of the discussion during the meeting were; the transition process of the Kosovo Security Force and Kosovo’s membership, in the Partnership for Peace, and in NATO, and the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.//a.i/
