TIRANA, May 22/ATA/ – Tirana received the highest estimation for the transformation it has undergone during the last 4 years at the Global Forum “URBAN FUTURE 2019”, which took place in Oslo.
Attending the meeting, the largest of the city-planners from different countries of the world, Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj said he was proud that the capital of Albania is evaluated highly by everyone for the changes it has undergone not only in infrastructure, but also in mentality.
Veliaj said that Tirana is the best example of how by creatively and thanks to citizen mobilization can be accomplished wonderful things. He underlined that Tirana is the city of opportunities, passion and desire to contribute.
During the visit, Mayor Veliaj met Mayor of Oslo Marianne Borgen and discussed about projects in infrastructure, transport and environmental issues. As an expression of gratitude, Veliaj handed over to his counterpart the “Clock Tower”./p.s./
