TIRANA, May 13 /ATA/ – The SP MP, Alket Hyseni, stated on Monday in a televised interview that many candidates from various parties and coalitions will run for municipalities and city councils on June 30.
“There are parties in the process of registration. There are coalitions as well as independent candidates in the process of registration either,” Hyseni said.
SP lawmaker said that the SP aims to win in 61 municipalities across the country.
As to boycott of DP, SMI and their allies, Hyseni stressed that democratic system gives anyone the right to take part in the electoral race. They have chosen the street instead of institutions to play the role of opposition.
As to recognition of elections by international bodies, Hyseni said that elections will take place on June 30. They are certified for standards, not for adversaries. If one political party does not take part in elections, it ceases to exist politically.
He went on saying that dialogue is crucial not merely for political situation but for integration of Albania in EU.
