TIRANA, May 11/ATA/-Following meeting of the ruling Socialist Party leading board, Prime Minister Edi Rama, also SP chairman, said that today, “There are approved the candidates for the 61 municipalities of the country who will run at the June 30 local elections”.
Speaking to reporters, PM Rama said, « During the meeting today it was discussed on compiling the final list of candidates for the municipalities”.
The prime minister said further on that, « Tomorrow all the delegates will go to the respective regions to declare the approved candidates in the presence of the candidates and the leading teams of the electoral campaign and further on we shall begin the campaign for the June 30 elections”.
In answer to question about the candidate for Peqin Municipality, PM Rama said that, « We have decided on the candidates for all the municipalities ».
« There are still some details to be resolved in regional level. The delegates have the mandate to settle them all”, added PM Rama./r.e/p.s./
