TIRANA, May 2 /ATA/ – The Bank of Albania (BoA) reported Thursday that, the process of bank restructuring in the country had a major impact on the domestic capital.
According to BoA, this is a recent phenomenon, which has occurred in other countries of the region as well.
“In addition to the consolidation of banking activity, based on the experience so far, the development of this phenomenon is expected to contribute to a more active role of the banking sector in the financial intermediation,” according to the Bank of Albania report.
Also, the Bank of Albania notes that it will maintain the appropriate supervisory approach to ensure that banking activity continues to be carried out according to the best governance and risk management standards.//a.i/
