TIRANA, April 20 /ATA/- Shkopeti tunnel on Burrel-Milot axis has been transformed following an intervention of Albanian Road Authority for improvement of road safety on this tunnel.
Built in ’50es, this tunnel had rendered difficult the movement of road users.
As part of the project to enhance road safety for the travellers on all axes across the country, the Albanian Road Authority intervened in Shkopeti tunnel and the rest of the axis.
Around 70 linear meters of protective metallic barriers were laid on both entries to the tunnel.
The operations include the installation of road signage and reflectors inside the tunnel, markings on entries and inside the tunnel as well as road signs on both sides of the road.
