TIRANA, April 15 /ATA/- President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, met on Monday in Brussels with President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, with whom discussed the political situation, European prospect, visa liberalization and dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
Thaçi thanked President Tusk for support that EU has provided to Kosovo in the last two decades.
He stressed that the region is still in a difficult Status Quo, which is slowing down a number of processes.
“Settling all the disputes between the Western Balkan countries as well as some clarity, dynamics and higher commitment of EU to the prospect of the Western Balkan countries are the best response to this stagnation,” President Thaçi said.
After fulfilling all the criteria, President Thaçi said that delay of decision on visa liberalization with Kosovo seems senseless and unacceptable despite the ongoing reasoning from EU and member countries.
President Thaçi pointed out that Brussels and the West are the only strategic orientation for the Republic of Kosovo.
