TIRANA, April 13/ATA/-The government is set to support the farmers working on cultivation of olive through the subsidies scheme for the agriculture.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture Dhimitër Kote said in an interview to ATA that the farmers working on the olive will get a greater support through an Italian project.
He said that this implies that the farmers will get funds for planting new olive trees, irrigation, the replacement of the old olive-groves and investment in new technology for harvesting of the olive and olive oil processing.
Speaking in concrete terms, the farmers will benefit 500 thousand lekë if they invest in processing technology and the irrigation systems and 250 thousand lekë for enlargement of the olive-grove areas or replacement of the old olive-groves, said Kote./e.xh/p.s./
