TIRANA, April 12/ATA/ – The General Directorate of Taxation, will launch on 17 April 2019 the campaign against the informality in the service sector, mainly in bars and restaurants, prior to summer season.
General Director at Property Tax Directory, Enton Duro during an informal meeting with reporters highlighted some of the main pillars of his work , focusing on campaign against the informality while explaining the actionsi n tackling mainly the small unregistered businesses and approving an enormous increase in penalties for irregular businesses.
“Through the implementation of this plan, the aim is to enhance voluntary tax compliance, as well as public awareness on the importance of collecting Tax Liabilities under the applicable legislation,” Duro said.
The government is taking concrete measures in three main directions with view to reducing informality in the country’s economy.
There are a number of stakeholders that are co-ordinating their efforts against informality, meanwhile the concrete measures are limited to Tax Administration; Labor Inspectorate and Social Security.//a.i/
