TIRANA, April 10/ATA/ “The internationals consider Albania as the country that has achieved the highest level of transformation reforms and it sets a model in the region”, stated today the Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj.
Speaking in an interview on the ERTV, Cakaj said that, “Albania has implemented unprecedented reforms in the region”.
Cakaj highlighted Albania’s economic growth at 4.2% in 2018. “If compared with the 3.8% economic growth of the region, Albania’s growth has been the highest in the region”, said Cakaj.
Further on, Cakaj highlighted the justice reform which has brought about a cleansing of the judiciary from judges that fail to meet any professional or moral criteria. Albania’s justice reform is also another model worth exporting in the region, said Cakaj.
He also emphasized the fact that, “Although an EU candidate member, Albania is the only country in the region that acts in full compliance with the EU principles of foreign policy and security”./m.m/j.p./p.s./
