TIRANA, April 1/ATA/665 people in Albania benefit a pension increase in the extent of 2.8% beginning from today, April 1.
The General Director of the Institute of Social Insurances Astrit Hado said during a press conference on Monday that, in line with the government decision, all the categories of pensioners benefit the pension increase.
Hado added that as a matter of fact this is not a real pension increase, but an indexation made on basis of price rise of the goods in the basket.
According to him, the fund to be used for this purpose amounts to 2.4 billion lekë. /e.xh/r.e/p.s./
