TIRANA, March 29/ATA/-The economic growth has outlined a revival of consumption in the country’s markets with household final consumption appearing to increase by 2.84 %.
The Institute of Statistics INSTAT reported today that, “The main components of GDP by expenditure approach for the fourth quarter of 2018 compared to the same quarter of 2017 appeared as follows:
Household final consumption which shares an important part in total economy appeared to increase by 2.84 %.
But, the general Government consumption appeared to decrease by 0.05 %.”
If compared with the previous quarter, “The household final consumption experienced an increase by 1.26%”.
The revival of tourism and increase of the number of the foreign tourists to our country had a positive impact in this direction. During the 9 month period of 2018, the revenues from tourism are estimated at 1.47 billion euro, a 12% increase as compared with 2017.
In regard to the number of foreign tourists who have visited our country, INSTAT reported that in 2018 there have entered 5.926.803 persons, a 15.8% increase if compared with 2017. e.xh/ /a.g/p.s./
